We regret that two errors occurred in the statistics paper published in July (2000;**17**:274–81). On page 277, page 2nd column, +/− signs were omitted from 2SD in the penultimate paragraph. On page 278, page 1st column, the equation was incorrect; it should have read: SEM=SD/√n
