Team roles (adapted from Belbin 2 )

Chairman An individual who can coordinate the efforts of the team, recognising each members skills and guide them towards a realistic goal.
Shaper Someone who influences more directly the thoughts and decisions of the group.
Creative The person who comes up with ideas but who may not understand the practicalities of their implementation.
Monitor/evaluator Someone who can objectively analyse the issues being addressed by the group.
Company worker Looks at how to implement the group's plans in to the work place.
Team worker Keeps the team together by recognising and addressing its needs as well as supporting individuals.
Resource investigator This person acquires the resources that are required for the group and its plans.
Completer/finisher Someone who ensures that the goal is achieved on time and to an acceptable standard.
