Level A
| Maximum level of protection and used in very high concentrations of toxic agents. | Fully chemical protective suit, positive pressure self contained breathing apparatus, double layers of chemical resistant gloves and boots. Airtight seals between the suit and inner layer of face, hand, and foot protection. |
Level B
| Used when the dangers to the skin are less. | Full respiratory protection similar to level A excluding airtight seals. |
Level C
| Used when air concentration of the agent is much lower. | Face cartridge mask, chemical resistant suit with gloves and boots. |
Level D
| Used only when there is no danger of chemical exposure. | Latex gloves, eye splash protection, and no respiratory protection. |
