    A short cut review was carried out to establish whether water soluble contrast small bowel follow through studies are useful in the management of patients with suspected adhesive small bowel obstruction (ASBO). In total, 152 papers were found using the reported search, of which 21 represented the best evidence to answer the clinical question.
