A short-cut review was carried out to establish whether gall bladder ultrasonography performed by emergency physicians in patients with suspected cholelithiasis had adequate diagnostic accuracy. A total of 106 papers was found using the reported searches, of which five presented the best evidence to answer the clinical question.
