Hyperdense middle cerebral artery sign: an early radiological finding of acute ischaemic stroke

A 66-year-old right-handed woman suffering from cloudiness of consciousness and weakness in the left half of the body presented to the emergency department. Neurological examination revealed confusion, left-sided central facial palsy, severe left hemiparesis (0/5) and left homonymous hemianopsia.
