    NHS Forth Valley, like other health boards in Scotland, has implemented the Scottish Patient Safety Programme (SPSP) sepsis workstream which started in January 2012 and aims to reduce mortality from sepsis in pilot sites by 10% by December 2014.1 One of the vehicles for this is reliable delivery of the sepsis 62 bundle (see table 1) within 1 h of recognition of sepsis.
