He had persistent pain despite treatment and was subsequently diagnosed with acute myelogenous leukaemia. It is well recognised that acute leukaemia commonly presents as non-traumatic limb pain. This case highlights the need to consider acute leukaemia in the differential diagnosis of any persisting bone or joint pain, even in the context of recent injury. ER -
