The performance of trauma team activation criteria at an Australian regional hospital
2019, InjuryCitation Excerpt :We propose revising the penetrating injury criteria to "Gunshot Wound" to improve TTAC accuracy, this finding may be generalizable to other institutions. Systolic blood pressure of less than 90 mmHg is a significant, consistent, powerful independent predictor of MT [14,15,17] but was not in this study. Hypotension was strongly correlated with other criteria (GCS < 14, airway compromise and pelvic instability) and became non-significant when combined in any model with these collinear predictors.

2013, Journal of Hand SurgeryCitation Excerpt :Other injury types have triage guidelines in place. Two of the better known are the American College of Surgeons' triage criteria for patients with general trauma injuries18–20 and the American Burn Association's guidelines for the transfer of patients with burn injuries.21,22 These criteria have been validated and shown to improve outcomes.18,20,23,24
